Career Training In The Fields Of Cosmetology And Professional Barbering

With Baltimore Beauty & Barber School, you can complete your training in less than a year! With over 30 years of experience, our team of highly trained cosmetologists and barbers have helped students from all over pass their state board exams and start working in their dream careers. Our Cosmetology Program requires 1500 hours of instruction, and our Barbering Program requires 1200 hours of instruction. Contact us to get started in the exciting career of your dreams.

Applications for Federal Aid Programs are made by completing Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA – www.fafsa.ed.gov). If you have any difficulty in accessing or understanding the FAFSA, we recommend making an appointment with the Financial Aid Officer at our school to walk you through step by step the process of filling out the FAFSA.

  • Verification. We may be asked by the Department of Education for additional, supporting information regarding your FAFSA. We will not be able to process your application without any requested documentation.

Financial Resources available to those who qualify:

FEDERAL GRANTS A Pell Grant is money the government provides for students who need it to pay for college. Grants, unlike loans, do not have to be repaid. Eligible students receive a specified amount each year under this program.


DIRECT LOANS are borrowed monies through the U.S. Department of Education that must be repaid (with interest).


• DIRECT Subsidized Loans are awarded to students who show financial need and is interest-free while the student is in school. You must start to repay this loan beginning six months after you leave school.


• DIRECT Unsubsidized Loans are available to all students, regardless of financial need. Interest does start on this loan while the student is in school.


• DIRECT Plus Loans are only available for parents of Dependent Students. Financial need is not a consideration. If approved for this loan, the amount will be applied directly to the student’s account. If the loan is denied, the student may apply for the maximum amount available in a Direct Unsubsidized Loan.

Scholarships:

Scholarships are provided by some companies, professional associations, and religious groups to individuals or their family members seeking an education. Searching the internet is a great way to see what might be available to you.
